Ambrosus is a blockchain-based ecosystem designed for supply chains, tracking and ensuring the origin, quality, conformity and proper handling of goods within the network. Ambrosus is primarily focused on improving the supply chain for essential goods, especially food and pharmaceuticals, but the protocol can be applied to almost any complex supply chain.
By applying distributed ledger, data processing and sensor systems, the Ambrosus platform can be integrated into supply chain flows, ensuring transparency at each node. These new capabilities give consumers or other supply chain participants confidence that their quality control standards are being met. Ambrosus also allows for the transfer of additional information between parties in the supply chain, opening up new applications and markets for real-time data using the Ambrosus platform.
Ambrosus is an end-to-end integrated solution that includes hardware, software, a protocol layer and developer tools. The heart of the Ambrosus network is the Amber token, compliant with Ethereums ERC-20 rules. All transactions within the Ambrosus network are based on it.
“Amber” is the worlds first token to be tied to data. It is used to bundle corresponding products as logistical, environmental and physical data from the supply chain is continuously updated and validated and delivered to the relevant departments. It is also used for value transfers within the ecosystem. That is, the Amber token is both an application and a value transfer feature within the application ecosystem built on the Ambrosus protocol.
Project Highlights
Ambrosus is a blockchain-based Internet of Things that serves food and pharmaceutical companies. It optimizes supply chain visibility and quality assurance by enabling secure and seamless communication between sensors, distributed ledgers and databases. At the heart of Ambrosus is AMB-NET: a decentralized protocol. The protocol tracks, stores and transmits assembly line and sensor data relating to food, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
With its unique electronic ID tags and tamper-proof mechanisms, Ambrosuss diverse range of sensors, biosensors and food trackers capture and monitor the physical properties and environmental conditions of each product in real time. Business agreements between manufacturers and their supply chains are encoded as smart contracts on AMB-NET - Ambrosuss blockchain that is interoperable with Ethereum. Data collected by sensors is transmitted via AMB-NET masternodes (Masternodes), causing contracts to self-execute and automatically resolve disputes if the parties disagree.
When Ambrosus digitizes data and forms product identity tags or characteristic certificates, all readings are recorded on AMB-NETs distributed ledger, providing an immutable and tamper-proof record throughout the products lifecycle. Ambrosus is advancing the growth of its ecosystem through its powerful developer tools and modules. Community members can create dApps, plugins and protocol upgrades. Interoperability with other Ethereum-based protocols ensures seamless integration and operation of Ambrosus dApps.
Use Cases
Supply Chain Optimization, secure, stable and real-time sensor-to-blockchain data exchange helps companies achieve top-of-the-line assembly line-to-dealer supply chain efficiency leveraging highly complete analytical data.
Logistics Tracking, provides companies and dealer partners with transparent and accurate tracking of goods shipments throughout the entire supply chain cycle. Quality Assurance, cryptographically reinforced time, temperature, logistics and raw material imprints provide dealers and end consumers with additional quality assurances.
Anti-counterfeiting, encrypted tamper-proof mechanisms provide consumer products with unique and immutable digital labels to reduce counterfeit risks.
