"ARES Coin, also known as Ares Token, is the governance token of the Ares Protocol platform, with a total supply of 1,000,000,000 ARES. Ares Protocol is a decentralized cross-chain oracle platform that truly realizes the new generation of cross-chain oracle service protocol for on-chain data verification and innovatively introduces a compensation channel for data users who suffer business losses from using oracle data. Developed based on the Substrate framework, Ares Protocol supports a hybrid Babe and off-chain worker random secure oracle solution, integrating Polkadots latest on-chain governance and bringing the Optimistic Rollup challenge model into the oracle field, supporting Ink contract ecology to provide DeFi developers with higher-quality oracle services.
Ares is a decentralized hybrid Oracle that fully realizes on-chain and off-chain validation of Oracle data. By using VRF to discover the random selection of aggregators, it solves the problem of data centralization and ensures very low participation thresholds. However, the random selection of aggregators does not guarantee the accuracy of the data. To address the issue of valuable data, Ares innovatively adopts the challenger model. When validation nodes in the network detect issues with the aggregators data during data validation, they can initiate a challenge by paying a certain amount of Gas. The data is then passed to an arbitration organization composed of honest aggregators and token holders. Under normal circumstances, it does nothing except for challenges in the network. Each member of the arbitration organization will initiate a BFT vote on the challenge. If validated, the aggregator is penalized, and the challenger is rewarded.
As an open-source decentralized cross-chain Oracle service protocol, Ares constructs a decentralized data trading ecosystem by introducing a token model and community governance. Data demanders can securely and efficiently obtain off-chain data, allowing high-quality data providers to profit through on-chain governance and data trading.
Ares is built under the Polkadot ecosystem environment. It is constructed via Substrate, acting as a parachain linked to the Polkadot ecosystem, sharing Polkadots security consensus; secondly, Ares is an expandable two-layer Oracle network, being a parachain of Polkadot, providing token allocation ratios and unlocking rules through mainstream blockchain networks: decentralized data Oracle service.
Token allocation ratios and unlocking rules:
20% for financing, seed round, and community round: 20% released in the first phase on the day of listing, followed by quarterly releases of 30%, 30%, and 20% respectively, with the entire release completed over nine months;
10% reserved for the foundation, subject to use and lock-up based on plan scenarios, with flexible mechanisms typically left unused;
5% allocated to advisors, currently undistributed, with future allocations locked for three months, followed by monthly proportional releases over two years, with no further releases if an advisor exits;
20% allocated to the team, locked for three months after listing, followed by monthly proportional unlocking over two years;
20% for ecosystem development, to be linearly released monthly to users supporting the ARES slot auction based on slot auction conditions, with specific details to be determined;
20% for staking rewards;
5% for community development, a mid-to-long-term community development budget with no lock-up period, disbursed appropriately based on community development situations, with undistributed portions left untouched.
