The Bytom Blockchain Protocol is an interaction protocol for diversified digital assets. Different forms of heterogeneous digital assets (native cryptocurrencies and digital assets) and atomic assets (rights, interests, dividends, bonds, intelligence information, predictive data, etc., with corresponding physical world objects) registered on the Bytom blockchain can be recorded, exchanged, bet on, and engaged in more complex interactions based on contracts. It connects the atomic world with the digital world, facilitating the interaction and flow of assets between these two worlds. Bytom adopts a three-layer architecture: application layer, contract layer, and data layer. The application layer is user-friendly for mobile and other terminals, making it easy for developers to create asset management applications. The contract layer uses genesis and control contracts for asset issuance and management, supporting an extended UTXO model called BUTXO, optimizing the virtual machine, and using introspection mechanisms to prevent deadlocks in Turing completeness. The data layer employs distributed ledger technology to implement operations such as asset issuance, spending, and exchange. Its consensus mechanism uses an AI ASIC chip-friendly POW algorithm, introducing matrix and convolutional computations into the hashing process. This allows mining equipment to be repurposed for AI hardware acceleration services after being idle or retired, generating additional social benefits.
