Gala Games aims to empower players with control over their games and steer the gaming industry onto a vastly different trajectory. With a mission to create "blockchain games that people actually want to play," Gala Games addresses a common issue where players often spend hundreds of dollars on in-game assets and countless hours playing, only to see their investments vanish with the click of a button. This project seeks to change this by leveraging blockchain technology to give players control over their games and in-game assets, reintroducing creativity into the gaming experience.

Players can own non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and participate in the governance of the Gala Games ecosystem. The Founders Nodes voting mechanism allows players to suggest which games Gala should develop and which ones should receive funding. Beyond enabling players to purchase NFTs within specific games, Gala Games also utilizes its utility token, GALA. The company has already launched a fully developed game called TownStar and an NFT collectible series known as VOX. More games are planned for release in the future, including a fantasy role-playing game, a sci-fi strategy game, and a tower defense game.

Since its launch in 2019, GalaGames has grown to have 1.3 million monthly active users and has sold 26,000 NFTs, with the most expensive one valued at $3 million.
