STEPN is a move-to-earn fitness app. Users equipped with NFT sneakers can go outdoors to earn tokens and NFT rewards. STEPN features an integrated wallet, an NFT marketplace, exchanges, and a leasing system that enables non-crypto users to utilize STEPN.

STEPN operates on a dual-token system: a game token—the Green Satoshi Token (GST)—and a governance token—the Green Metaverse Token (GMT).
The GMT is STEPN’s native governance token, used for:

Staking rewards: GMT stakers vote on the distribution of staking rewards.

In-app exchange functionality: Users can swap their token earnings for other forms of cryptocurrency.
In-app decentralized wallet: Users can deposit or send cryptocurrency to the wallet to fund their spending accounts.

STEPN has raised approximately five million dollars from investors, selling 16.30% of the total GMT token supply at $0.005 per GMT.
