Initially, NOIA was a decentralized distributed peer-to-peer content delivery network (CDN) startup. It secured funding from institutional investors, assembled a team of world-class engineers, experts, and advisors, and launched its first open-source technology - the NOIA Cache. It attracted over 9,000 community members and installed more than 5,000 nodes. Currently, it has a capacity exceeding 25TB across NOIA Cache nodes and delivers content to numerous websites. Later, NOIA introduced the concept of a programmable internet. NOIA combined Segment Routing protocol with distributed ledger technology and built a proof of concept (PoC). NOIA plans to release its digital commodity token in mid-2019, enabling infrastructure providers and buyers to trade their internet bandwidth on the decentralized internet traffic exchange (DITEX).
