nYFI is the QP (Quotation Pool) token for the YFI/ETH pair on the NEST Protocol. The NEST Protocol is a distributed oracle network and an unlicensed community of token holders, data providers, and validators. As an oracle, the NEST Protocol provides a creative solution to validate on-chain data, such as quotes for digital assets. In the NEST network, all data is generated directly on the chain: users (so-called quote miners) upload their own asset price quotes with a certain amount of collateral, and these quotes will be entered into the NEST price chain after a fixed validation period. (During the validation period, the users collateral is open to all forms of arbitrage, and only quotes without collateral will be accepted.) When the NEST open network remains unlicensed and decentralized, the reliability and authenticity of quotes and other on-chain data are protected by game theory among quote miners, validators, and price callers (quote miners receive NEST tokens or some form of Ntoken reward; validators profit directly from the calculation of price deviation). So far, NEST quote miners are providing real-time quotes for over 50 actively traded pairs, such as ETH/USDT, YFI/ETH, etc. These quotes are accepted in many Open Price Feed formats and then used by reporters such as DEX/Cofix and Coinbase Pro.
