The Picard project aims to address the decline in market reliability caused by opaque issuance processes, such as art replication and fraud in the growing art market. The Picard project offers various services, including managing the issuance history of artworks and preventing forgeries, co-selling of artworks, art trade and auction bidding, online exhibitions, and donation events. Artists or owners of artworks can register their pieces on Pica’s platform, and investors can use PICA tokens to participate in purchasing the artworks and gain partial ownership. Information about the issuance of artworks, along with purchase and ownership details, is stored on the blockchain and can be transparently inspected. The Pika Project plans to establish a large art center in Seoul in 2021 and intends to host a special exhibition featuring renowned domestic artists.
