Polkastarter is a platform designed for launching and managing Initial DEX Offerings (IDO). An IDO is a pre-listing token issuance where early-stage projects sell a limited number of tokens to whitelisted community members.
For projects, Polkastarter addresses issues of fundraising, community growth, and sustainable token distribution. Additionally, Polkastarter’s fixed-price trading ensures no community member can accumulate an outsized position in the token, mitigating volatility post-launch.
For participants, Polkastarter offers early token access and project exposure. Pre-listing access and low-entry-price projects are typically reserved for large investors. Polkastarter enables community members to gain early access to projects vetted by the Polkastarter team.

POLS is Polkastarter’s native functional token used in the following ways:
IDO Whitelist Entry: Community members cannot participate in IDOs unless their address is whitelisted by the fundraising project. Whitelist spots are allocated randomly but proportional to POLS token holdings. Users receive one ticket for whitelist entry for every 250 POLS held per address. The more tickets a user holds, the greater their chances of being successfully whitelisted.
Liquidity Mining: POLS token holders can provide liquidity to the ETH-POLS pool on Uniswap and the BNB-POLS pool on PancakeSwap.
Governance: Token holders must stake POLS to vote or submit proposals. Proposals are first discussed off-chain, then submitted as on-chain proposals. Each on-chain proposal is reviewed and implemented by the Polkastarter development and management teams.

The protocol operates through the following key components:
Fixed-Price Exchange: The fixed-price exchange limits the amount of ETH or BNB that community users can exchange for project tokens. This mechanism ensures IDO participants cannot acquire a large number of tokens early in the listing process, maintaining the purpose of decentralization and permissionless participation.
Interoperability: Polkastarter is currently available on both Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Polkastarter strives to expand to more chains, providing projects and community members with opportunities to participate in IDOs.
