PowerPool is a protocol that offers a convenient solution for pooling governance tokens. With it, token holders can lend, pool, and borrow governance tokens based on Ethereum protocols to earn income and accumulate governance power. PowerPools mission is to enhance the utility of governance tokens, benefiting all end-users and providing a more robust and powerful decision-making system for the DeFi ecosystem.
CVP is PowerPools native governance token and has the following use cases:
Voting on platform governance (such as parameter changes for supported liquidity pools, collateral types, and liquidity mining reward allocations).
Voting on how aggregated governance tokens should vote on each governance decision within supported protocols.
The PowerPool protocol operates through the following components:
Power Index: A community-managed decentralized finance index that uses aggregated governance tokens for meta-governance and implements fund management strategies. The Power Index Pool Token (PIPT) is the token representing shares within the index.
Power Oracle: A distributed cross-chain price oracle using Uniswap V2 as the primary data source for time-weighted average price (TWAP). The Power Oracle allows token holders to stake CVP, request and record data from the oracle, and receive CVP rewards in return.
