Ruff Chain combines IoT technology with blockchain. It encompasses a distributed operating system and an open mainchain, linking peer-to-peer networks and consensus mechanisms from the virtual to the real world. Traditional blockchain sacrifices availability for consistency and partition tolerance, but Ruff achieves availability by combining edge computing with blockchain, meeting elastic real-time demands.
The project aims to address issues of credible operation and heavy operational burdens between IoT systems in various fields, thus creating an open Ruff Chain ecosystem.
I. Project Introduction
Ruff Chains core challenge is the credible interoperability and compensated interoperability among different IoT devices. In the future, Ruff Chain will be a new foundational platform based on IoT, characterized by decentralization, openness, source code availability, and efficiency. Within the ecosystem, various parties can earn token rewards by providing resources or consume tokens to acquire resources, sharing them amongst themselves, forming an economically-driven autonomous body.
Project Highlights:
RuffChain addresses the core issue of credible and compensated interoperability among IoT devices, featuring:
Temporal Data: RuffChain’s edge computing nodes control local network business logic centered around synchronized timestamps;
Consensus Mechanism: Considering the computational power of IoT master devices, RuffChain opts for DPoS as its consensus algorithm;
Off-chain Control: RuffChain uses command signature technology for off-chain control, including device initialization, binding, command verification, and historical command chaining;
A rating mechanism based on a Lightning Network-like system.
Application Scenarios
Ruff Chain addresses the core issue of credible and compensated interoperability among IoT devices. In the future, it will be a decentralized, open, and efficient platform based on IoT. In the ecosystem, participants can earn or spend tokens for resources, forming an economy-driven autonomous body.
