Ycash is a friendly fork of Zcash, which will occur at block height 570,000 (approximately July 18, 2019). It supports general-purpose hardware CPU and GPU mining, with 75% of YEC mined through Proof-of-Work (PoW) before the second halving. After this, it may partially or fully transition to a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. The founders reward has been reduced from 20% to 5%, allowing Ycash miners to receive 95% of the rewards.
