VCS (Vaccines, Vaccine Chain) is an applied blockchain launched jointly by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), the British pharmaceutical group, and its blockchain investment fund, in collaboration with the RTC Blockchain Technology Team.
GSK is a research-based pharmaceutical and healthcare company producing 4 billion packs of medicines annually, with products reaching global markets. GSK was formed in December 2000 through the merger of GlaxoWellcome and SmithKline Beecham.
